+ The Grand Circuit is best explored by tuk-tuk, bicycle, The route typically starts at Angkor Wat (if you haven’t visited it yet) and then moves clockwise or counterclockwise around the temples.
Recommended Route (Clockwise Direction)
-> Start at Angkor Thom (South Gate) – If you haven’t visited yet, explore .
● Preah Khan – A large temple with a jungle atmosphere, similar to Ta Prohm but less crowded.
● Neak Pean – A unique water temple built on an artificial island.
● Ta Som – Famous for its eastern gate, which is overgrown by a giant tree.
● East Mebon – A temple-mountain with elephant statues at its corners.
● Pre Rup – A pyramid-style temple that is a great spot for sunrise or sunset.
● Return to Siem Reap – Optionally, stop at smaller temples like Banteay Prei, Prasat Prei, or Krol Ko on your way back.
Travel Tips
• Time Needed: About 4–6 hours by tuk-tuk, longer it depends on your touring .
• Best Time to Visit: Morning for cooler weather, sunset at Pre Rup.
